Since it was from the Bee, when I read this headline in an email from the Babylon Bee, I assumed it was a joke post: California officials punish low-income children. The Bee has some seriously funny posts. But it’s not a joke.
I’ll let the body of the email speak for itself. If the subject were only the redefining of pronouns or things like “dead naming”, that would still mark California and the Biden administration as the most idiotic and totalitarian governments in US history. But the lunch money adds a truly pathetic twist.
Don’t be sheep. Don’t pretend the “gender is not sex” crap. Don’t permit the state to tell you there are more than two sexes, or genders. There are no other genders. XX/XY. That’s it. Period.
A lie doesn’t become truth just because a huge swath of people pretend it’s the truth. In this case, as with many false arguments, the “believers” are just behaving in the way their tribe dictates, for the benefit of a few knuckleheads.
This was the body of the email I received.
Let's get right to the point: the Biden administration and California state officials have taken away the lunch money of low-income kids because their Christian school doesn't comply with its radical redefinition of "sex" in Title IX.
The Church of Compassion, a non-denominational church in El Cajon, CA, operates a small Christian school-Dayspring Christian Learning Center. They are dedicated to serving everyone in the community, and roughly 40 percent of students come from low-income families.
Now, because the school won't violate its religious beliefs, state and federal officials have denied its application to continue receiving the school lunch funding it has received for almost 20 years.
This is outrageous. It's cruel to use low-income children as leverage to force a small Christian school to violate its religious beliefs.
I am not a religious guy. If I had a religion, I’d be a Pastafarian. Their heaven has stripper factories and beer volcanoes. But I don’t have any spiritual beliefs. That said, I have no interest in cajoling a church, a community or any individual into believing in anything based on the say-so of emotional wrecks and propagandists.
Carry on smartly.
