Governor Hair Gel Should Resign...
...along with the fire chief and the mayor.
While I am heartsick at the pain, death and destruction playing out in Southern California, I cannot squelch the disgust I feel as the politicians blather like idiots.
When asked if he felt that giving water priority to a goddamn schmeckle fish over cities that sit (stupidly) on eternally dry land, Gavin Newsome got his phony, badass routine jacked up and started talking about standing next to the president and how they have everyone’s back in the ALREADY BURNED OUT TOWNS.
Why did that reporter not scream at Hair Gel, “That doesn’t answer the goddamn question I asked you!” Instead of answering the question, while standing next to still burning homes, this worthless jagoff made it all about himself!
The mayor, Karen Bass, made one excuse after another for the poor performance and total lack of preparation we witnessed over three horrible days. One of her key remarks, that went unchallenged by the sycophant media, was to say that none of the $23 MILLION cut from the fire department’s budget had any effect on the departments response to the wildfires.
But we already knew about an email the fire chief, Kristin Crowley, sent to the mayor late last year saying that the budget she was left with would SEVERELY impact her department’s ability to do most anything, especially respond to large scale emergencies.
The spin these low-life creatures are trying to keep alive goes beyond simple insult. It is an effort to hide their criminal negligence, their depraved indifference to the citizens they are SUPPOSED to serve.
The only appropriate words that should be coming from all three of those officials is, “I am sorry for the pain, destruction and death I have caused. I will tender my resignation immediately, and spend the remainder of my days, if need be, to help build a sensible and useful water infrastructure for this state.” Somewhere in there should be a promise to unwind all DEI programs throughout government.
If these people ever decide to actually do something for their citizens, and not themselves; if they want to fix what we just witnessed, here’s a good place for them to start.
