The hypocritical reactions to Spirit Air's demise
Honestly, the Lefty poofs in America are like three year olds who refuse to play with a toy until another kid touches it. Then they have hissy fits.
I was reading a post from a friend of a poofy Left persuasion recently. The message was that Donald Trump shut down Spirit Airlines because Orange Man Bad! And well,… because the Iran war is driving up fuel costs. It seems, according to my sobbing buddy, that Spirit was running their business model on the assumption “jet fuel would remain below $2.25 per gallon”….for, well…forever. If true, that’s not a business model, it’s pathetic and wishful thinking. If true, their airline was destined to go belly up.
But, since all airlines, even Spirit by their fuel as a futures purchase, I think it can be fairly said the Spirit’s fall was just bad timing. They were stuck making their next major purchase in a market marred by war and future scarcity; possibly extreme scarcity.
The tenor of posts like the one mentioned above, since they are motivated entirely by TDS, seems to be that whatever bad news the candy asses dig up, they MUST have been what Trump wanted. In this case he WANTED to ruin Spirit Airlines…so he went to war.
Spirit’s woes didn’t begin with this conflict. They haven’t turned a profit in years. And the political whores owned by the major airlines, presently bitching about Spirits going tits up, refused to let Spirit merge with Jet Blue in order to create a stronger airline. Thank a Democrat.
And I have news for everyone: Spirit won’t be the last airline to fall due to the Iran conflict. While gas prices have been up since the beginning, we are only now starting to feel the REAL effects of the war, writ large. A major shortfall in jet fuel is already a certainty in the next two months. Flight cancellations over the summer will be epic. Many carriers will, at minimum, initiate massive furloughs. Many will fold.
California, this week got it’s last pre-war shipment of oil. From now on, they will pay through the nose. There will be even less available to the rest of us because we have to make up the shortfalls in California. And THAT is because among all the other stupid things California has done for over a century, they stopped pumping their own oil. Result? Prices at the pump in NORMAL states will go higher still. Thank a California Democrat.
The damage done to markets goes FAR beyond cancelled flights and expensive gasoline.1 The economic damage across the globe, caused by this poorly planned, hastily executed debacle over two months, will be felt for years. And it will likely undo everything DJT was well on the way to accomplishing; massive international investment, on-shoring of manufacturing, rapid economic growth. All that is now kicked well down the road, if ever to be seen again.
Caveat: I do so hope I am wrong about all of the this. By September I’d love to be shouting from the rooftop that I had my head up my ass, that oil is now gushing onto the market and all is now booming. But I doubt that will happen. I think the likely result of all of this is the Davos cult will take over Congress, pack the court and turn the impeachment monkeys loose once again.
But the silliest thing to jump out of the post I mentioned was the irony of wussies crying about airliners not flying. Especially the discount airlines. The dirtiest, most unsafe, who charge for baggage and seat arrangements. The shitty bastards! Shouldn’t and shrews and manbuns of the Left be cheering about how much less “global warming” is about to take place. Airliners are the WORST polluters, according to the Davos cult. Many thousands of fewer flights per day, less exploitation of the masses. The Karens should be erecting statues of Trump shielding the earth in a protective hug.
But no, they want to sing requiems for the dirty airlines. Do you see what I mean about the three year olds?
But what can you expect of a Left wing that consistently takes the side of Muslim nut bags, never presenting workable alternatives to ANYTHING.2

I laugh when Lefty poofs cry about high gas prices. We still haven’t hit Joe Duh levels and old Joe was tapping the SPR repeatedly as a figure head in Obama’s third term. But don’t worry, before this is over, we WILL FLY past Biden’s numbers.
That said, I am against this conflict, not because I give a rat’s ass about Muslim nut bags, I don’t. I am disgusted with the giddy, mindless execution of the war. The Straights issue truly blind-sided them. They really didn’t anticipate it! And they really appear to have thought we’d drop a few bombs and the people would take over the government, just like that.
And I have not let go of the possibility that career DoD and military political whores promoted this idea and shaped planning in such a way as to cause harm to the administration. The bureaucracy is crawling with such whores.
But I don’t criticize the operation the way many did, crying about “mission creep” 10 minutes into the attacks and “quagmire” after a week. I criticize the amateur nature of the game.
