Less is more. Create fewer laws while you pass laws.
Less is more. Create fewer laws while you pass laws.
There is a lot of new legislation being packed into this series. Most of it is dedicated to shrinking the size of government, or doing more with less, as I pointed out in my section about LFTR reactors.
But, it is an easy task to have aides comb through the federal registry and eliminate laws that make no sense or are just taking up space.
So with every law you introduce, eliminate at least one. More would be better. A smaller federal code has one or two benefits, probably both. First, it eliminates laws that are not being enforced. There are some, like immigration laws that must be enforced. START ENFORCING THEM! But there are likely thousands of entries that serve no purpose. Having them on the books, unenforced is bad law.
Second, if any of these laws are being administrated, like the 47 jobs training bureaucracies who never train anyone but employ huge staffs, get rid of them and the people who push paper around the requisite offices. That saves money; lots of it. It will be that many programs fewer you have to fund with each budget.
Less is more. Make one, cut one or more. And again, make the laws you write brief, clear and simple! If the average person can’t read a law in a few minutes and understand it then a government has NO RIGHT to pass it.
