McCarthy. You are now seeing why I call him nothing but good hair. He has handled this Speaker vote like a complete goof ball. Holding vote after vote without actually closing out demands and whipping numbers is why the caucus looks so bad. But everybody needs to relax. The demands for a balanced budget and actual debate on spending, and cleaning up the corruption at the top of our Justice Department are constitutional demands. It’s supposed to be slow and cumbersome and messy. Everybody take a breath. The world is not ending. We are just getting a front row seat to a long-overdue debate.
I bookmarked Robert Reich’s latest propaganda nonsense. I am fighting the temptation to rip him a new one on this because I have only just begun my evisceration of a previous post. Follow that series on this Substack. As for his piece dated 1/4, suffice it to say it proves the lots of degrees do not a smart man, make. His stupid and childish use of the term “MAGA extremists”, especially in this discussion, give lie to the intrinsic value of education for its own sake. I may have to revisit this when I finish the first seris of my Riech Commentaries.
