These people truly have their heads squarely up their asses. And if you continue to let them win, you do too!
That’s a brash and gutsy observation for a guy who lives on the kindness of his readers.
New York and California have already gone after you gas appliances. They made a bunch of lame excuses for doing to. The latest I am hearing is how it causes asthmatic attacks. They are always careful to add “among children” [awwww]
It seems we have far more cases of asthma and allergies among kids today than we ever did before. And we have fewer children. I personally knew one teenager with asthma. It was very serious. But…ONE!
Back when such things were rare, and the poor kids that suffered from them were considered kind of odd and characterized as weak, AND WE HAD MORE KIDS, all our heat came from Natural gas, coal, oil or steam (from coal). Few houses had electric heat because it was too dry and cost a fortune to run; as my dad found out when he converted our whole house from city steam to electric.
But forget the bullshit excuses. Here’s the bottom line: Electric appliance manufacturers want to sell their crap. They are paying politicians to force you to buy them. The politicians are employing the time-tested bullshit about the environment to get you to do it.
Now the jackasses are doing the same thing with your lawn equipment.
Look, I have nothing personal against electric anything. I use an electric string trimmer. We grew up calling them weed whackers. My wife, a Brit, calls them whipper snippers. I like my electric weed whacker. I hate the gas variety because I could never get the little bastards to start without going to war.
But I am not as stupid as political whores would like me to be. I don’t believe my electric whacker runs on magic dust or sunshine promises. It runs on coal and natural gas, like all the other electric stuff I use. And the materials that go into my whacker ARE BAD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT!
To get professional lawn guys to jump on the crazy train, the government is giving them money to buy the electric crap. They have to do that because nobody wants the shit. And they are WAAAAY too expensive. Now that they are mandated, the prices will go through the roof. More people chasing the same crap equals higher prices - ALWAYS.
And speaking of expense, how many batteries will a professional lawn guy need to carry to get all the shit he has to do done every goddamn day? I have less than 1/2 an acre with a house, a carport and a two car garage on it. So I don’t have too much grass to cut. I have a very nice Ryobi weed whacker. it does one and a half jobs before I need to recharge it with coal or natural gas or grab a spare battery which already has the coal or natural gas in it.
A pro will have to have room to carry dozens of batteries to get through the day with his various tools, then spend a fortune on electrical power charging the bastards up every night!
Now every swinging dick in California who wants to cut a lawn will be plugging their shit in the night before, or they won’t be doing their lawn. We are already near more cars than we can ever hope to charge with our retarded grid. Where are we supposed to get the power for all these tools?
This thought just popped into my head. Organized crime. Smart people in states that don’t have such a stupid mandate in place yet, will smuggle gasoline powered tools into California. They’ll make a killing. The government there will be far more upset about this horrible crime than they are about murder, rape, fentanyl or the invasion of millions of diseased foreigners. That will be good for a laugh.
But the BIG benefit, the government selling point the media is parroting, is one the truly delicate among us will really celebrate. But they will probably celebrate very quietly. You see, the gasoline tools are just so noisy! Never mind that most of the people who fall into the wussy camp drive around in cars with mega bass giving them nosebleeds…but oh, the noise pollution of a lawn mower! Eeeeek!
When the electric EVERYTHING merchants have their unearned profits locked down in California and New York, they’ll be coming to your state to bribe your politicians. You’ll be stacking batteries all over your garage next. Actually, the crooks won’t need to bribe all states. Some states are so stupid and lazy they have laws, especially environmental laws that say, whatever California does, we’ll copy.
I am doing my best. All I can do is bring you the news and give my opinion, profound and educated. It’s up to you to decide when you’ve had enough of the lunacy. Stand up!
Jordan, out!
