Affordability
I often get mad at Trump because he fires from the hip and his words often don’t convey a coherent message. I am fine with something he said tonight. When the Dems talk about “affordability” it means nothing. It is a bullshit term they have found polls well. They have not answer ONE as to how to create affordability for anything, for anyone.
In fact when the government tries to create the illusion of affordability, they invariably leave costs, to the citizen, the same if not worse. They also increase the overall costs to the taxpayer. And their banner “affordability” issue is proof of their double dealing bullshit and the naivete of most citizens.
I repeat: Once you see it, you can spot it every time from then on. I refer, of course to the complete reliance by the Left on deceit and emotional vapor in their every issue. And “affordability” is such an issue.
Addled by their lack of grit and communication skills, too many on the Right are now making pleas to the effect of we can do affordability too!! Too lazy to consider their own use of terms, they often adapt the bullshit terms of the Left in order to “fight back”. It’s embarrassing to watch. What must be done with the “affordability” nonsense and point out the worthlessness of the key word and then build an adult argument to crush it.
Conventional wisdom says politicians ought not try to communicate complex issues. The attention span of the voter is too short, they are told by their smarmy handlers. Keep it simple. Blurt out simple-minded phrases. At best, go for snarky. (For the record: Snark is the purview of adolescents, so the GOP, as a group, is not as skilled with its use.)
I will break down how stupid the smarmy handlers are in two ways. First, they rely almost entirely on the 30 minute news cycle we see on cable news networks. Then they exploit it incorrectly. Instead of trying to be clever in this medium by adapting the stupidity of your opponent to fight same, use the short cycle to pound away at the primary point. In this case, tell the listener that the term “affordability” is an empty bullshit term, and tell them why. Make the medium your friend.
It wouldn’t hurt if popular GOP figures coordinated their messaging a bit, as the entire Dem party and the entire MSM do every single day, on every issue.1
The other reason the handlers are stupid about the networks is because they are a dying medium dedicated to the defeat of all conservatives. By all means, be present on the medium and sharpen you arguments as we’ve already said. But put your energy into the prevailing medium. Long form, digital content. Streaming.
The conservative message has always won in the long form environment. Talk radio has always been a smash for the Right. That’s because you have so much valid content that it is hard to get it all into a 3 hour program every day. On the Left you don’t have that. People get sick of the empty bitching, sloganeering and constant victimhood after about 15 minutes of any radio show.
We are, for the same reason, crushing the Left online. Rogan, Kelly, Carlson, the late, great Charlie Kirk are inundated with quality content and WE are the beneficiaries of it all. The countless moderates and libertarians are just as good for us since their most popular work skews obviously Right. The Left can’t contrive enough BS to keep normal people glued. All they have are a minority of diehard rubes.
So that’s the messaging. When it comes to “affordability”, what is the message? Easy. One man’s affordability is another man’s bankruptcy. While dividing and subdividing America on most issues, they pretend that “affordability”, one assumes affordability of life in general, is the same for everyone. They pretend they think the great central planners in Washington DC can make life “affordable” for EVERYONE! YAY!
The costs of goods continues to rise, even though Trump said he would bring prices down! Pretending not to see Trump’s statement as ham-handed hyperbole, clearly meaning inflation, they think they have a point here. But again, that point is only fodder for fools.
I have always had a headache with DJT making such a claim. First, it’s not his job. Second, since 1913 the Federal Reserve (the real government) has maintained a system of constant inflation. Except for times where certain commodities and durable goods were suddenly in huge supply, prices across the board in America will forever go UP! There is no way to change that without firing the Fed!!!
Excuse me for a moment. When I said “firing the Fed” I was momentarily, sexually aroused.
So the GOP, and more specifically adults know that no government can do anything remotely related to bringing prices down. What they CAN do is bring inflation down. That is what the Donald was speaking of in his goofy campaign language. And that is exactly what the GOP has done.
That hasn’t helped with health insurance, education and housing. They continue to spiral upward. Without exception, the cause has been Dem programs where the government meddles in these sectors. The only way to brings costs down in these sectors, to make them RELATIVELY more affordable, is to get the government completely out of them. These are the largest of the socialist programs shoehorned into an other wise free market.2
No matter what goods or services the government might endeavor to “fix” in terms of “affordability”, the result will ALWAYS be increases in costs in that sector and rampant corruption within the sector.
The GOP would do well to hammer away at the concepts I introduced in Episode 46. In that show, I said something that applies to “affordability” as easily as all the other bullshit issues Dems create.
This is YOUR Dem party at work, all day, every day on ALL issues! Gaming the system and playing you for a chump about every single issue is all they have. Keep this in mind as my next show unfolds. There is nothing in the Left’s agenda - crime, ICE, Immigration, boats blowing up in the Caribbean, the trans fad - based on fact or genuine concern for a single citizen. The goal, since Obama, has been to tear down what they don’t control and increase control of those they do, like Blue dump cities. The Left has NO HONOR.
I have been banging away at this ever since. I will continue to do so every time we see it. They will make it easy to point out in almost every episode.
“Affordability” is another among the countless manufactured issues the Dems will “fix” by taking more power unto themselves and more corrupt money (stolen from you under the same false pretenses) to share with their cronies and overlords.3 Keep showing people how once you get it, you’ll see it every time.

Priorities and Realities
We have a stack of priorities we want the federal government to deal with. The weak among us, weak of mind or weak of character, wish the federal government will fix all those priorities for us. The strong, the grownups, want the government to get out of the way so we can solve most of them. Of the priorities the government must deal with, the one thing we can say is that the administrations is doing a better job of that than the last two Dem regimes. And so far, the GOP in Congress has been slightly helpful. Such help is slipping due to the lack of courage available on Capitol Hill.
If you were to catalog ALL those priorities for the grownups you’d find a huge stack that runs from getting the government out of private business and scraping illegals from our streets. From tariffs/no tarriffs, ending government-approved sexualization of children, slashing red tape and regulation. Get out of the way of beefing up the grid, building all manner of power plants.4 You work you way down the stack until you get to the bottom where we decide what to name the next post office that gets built in suburban Peoria. At that point, if ever, you get to where we are actually worried about drug-running scum getting atomized in the Caribbean.
Drug running on the high seas is recognized as piracy. And there is no quarter given for that. It is not a crime to destroy the means of their piracy. If they are killed in the process, so be it.
There was that stink about Hegseth giving “verbal orders” to kill them all. That was blatantly obvious Lefty BS, and the record bears this out. For starters, in ops like this, the pilot isn’t on the phone to the Pentagon. And Hegseth bailed on the conversation early. The scene commander did a fine job in taking out that boat on 2 September.
But what of the survivors desperately clinging to the wreckage? Again, the exaggeration is SO DEM! There were two guy, probably blown out of their shoes who climbed back aboard. They were spotted trying to salvage that which got their boat blasted to begin with. We also monitored communication between the boat and whoever they answer to.
All that means is mission NOT accomplished. The boat and the cargo were still in the game. They were still viable targets. So…boom. If the two crew members been a bit smarter about the technology that led to their unfortunate circumstances, they’d have been smarter to stay in the water and “cling” to what was left of the boat. Had they, I think it’s a safe bet they would have been plucked from the drink and sent to Gitmo. They chose to continue being pirates.
Along with the sedition video, released by Kelly et al, because the Dems intended to manufacture a problem over 2 September, the survivors “clinging” crap was just more of the endless deceit and emotional drivel provided by the Left.
Once you see it… Right?
When next we meet, we’ll discuss the bottled water scam and how, combined with other water issues, it now threatens to do real damage to all of us. That will be combined with an older argument about water in the southwest. You’ll want to dig deep on that one, or regret not doing so later.
I will also try to strong-arm Ron into making a visit and explaining how the Eagles will make a massive recover and win the Superbowl this year. It would help if someone could teach the offensive coaching staff how to coach an offense.

With many issues, especially “affordability” lately, even FOX has fallen into the trap of arguing which party is better at “creating affordability” for people. They have fallen for the Lefty rhetoric.
I use that term more advisedly more and more every year. There is hardly a market left where the government doesn’t interfere to a wildly damaging extent.
