Trump puts Iran inf Extra Double Secret probation!
A shout out to the first person who can tell me in the comments where I stole that term from.
DJT is close to cancelling the last of the trust I had in him and his administration.
As of today, 3 August, he is giving Iran their really, really REALLY last chance to capitulate.
Every week he says he is in “serious” negotiations with Iran. And every week says they came up short and he hits them. every time he promoises that TH regret it. But every time the hit is a little weaker (or a lot weaker) than the last one.
Trump is flailing. How pronouncements are devoid of reason and logic. They are typical Trump-isms. Loud, illogical and RARELY supported by truth on the ground. Example: Some weeks ago, in an effort to be obviously incredulous a reporter asked Trump if Irans’ 16 demands looked like “incoinditional surrender” to him. She was throwing him a bone, giving him a chance to walk back the unconditional” bullshit. HE WAS NEGOTIATING 16 POINTS DEMANDED BY IRAN FOR SHIT’S SAKE! Instead he said, “Yeah.” That looked like unconditional surrender to him.
This calls to mind all the people I’ve heard say Trump is rough around the edges in public, but in private HE’S BRILLIANT. He’s probing, full of incite, articulate and attentive!
Right, and Barry O’biden wasn’t in a near vegetative state.
If Trump is actually talking to anyone in Iran, he is operating under the delusion these people are in control of anything in that country. Any government that is in any way in control of ANYTHING is not going to engage the US at any table. They are going to wait it out - for two reasons.
These people (religious nut bags or military dictators) know that every pause, every hesitation on Trump’s part is him and his crew trying to shit more missiles they can use to carry on the attacks. WE ARE RUNNING OUT!
And since these jagoffs don’t give a shit about the Iranian people and how they might be suffering, they know if they just sit on their hands and wait, the US will eventually go away. This will be either because DJT runs out of bullets, large and small, OR because the midterms rendered him powerless. These same jagoffs will emerge more powerful internationally and domestically as the guys who stood successfully against THE superpower and won. That is how many, including our dear friends in the EU (total pussies), will see it.
And you can forget the overthrow of these jagoffs by Iranians for the next two decades.
As I’ve said many times here, I am an Iran war agnostic. I didn’t see the national security imperative to attack. But I have lost not a minute’s sleep at hearing the religious nut bags who have been nipping at our ankles for almost 50 years were assuming room temperature. My biggest beef is with the people around Trump.
It is clear DJT got into a pecker contest with Bibi. Netanyahu triple dog dared him to attack Iran…and the Donald did! That is classic Donald. He is driven, first, last and always, by a child-like ego. My beef is with the grownups around him, among whom ZERO said anything like Mr. President, you need to make real preparations before we cut loose with the munitions we have, AND we need a specific reason (other than the nuke program we destroyed last year) to go NOW. You can go, but not half-cocked.
My biggest disappointment here is Rubio. It would be one thing to jump ship over political minutia. But this is war and this is the depletion of munitions we don’t have enough of to thwart REAL threats. This would have been the time to at least threaten to go public and call a stupid idea a stupid idea.
The happiest people on the planet right now are the Chinese. Before this poorly planned, pathetically executed fiasco, if China attacked Taiwan, we could have defeated China never having fired a single bullet at a single Chinaman. Through judicious use of those same missiles and bombs we could have cut off China form EVERYTHING they need to survive. China would have, within months, ceased to exist as major political, economic or manufacturing power. As a single entity, they’d have been finished.
Now? I am sure they at least see a POSSIBLE path to Taiwan, one that didn’t exist last year.
Meanwhile, back on the American funny farm…
I say all this as a man who doesn’t give a rat’s ass for the phony “religious” corrupt scum bags who have run Iran since that hate-filled “holy” man returned from Paris to take over in ‘79. I say that as a man who supports Israel and an ally and as a nation, with a right to exist like any other nation. I say it as a man who KNOWS that all military operations by Israel since before the UN declaration in ‘48 have been in response to violent provocation and perfectly justifiable. Among NONE of those actions can be seen anything remotely like genocide.
Now, why did I write that last paragraph?
Well, I continue to watch the folks from my side of the aisle who have gone bat shit crazy over this issue. The ones I hear from the most are Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens and Megyn Kelly. Among those, the two true nut bags are Carlson and Owens. Kelly is just a rube who let herself get swept up in the nonsense. For the record, I once held all three in high regard.
But I’ve watched as they have all, quite cynically, pursued the eyes and ears of the lowest mental quintile of their conservative audience. Sadly, the 4th and now even the third tier of these rubes are starting to credit the three as having a point…they don’t. They truly don’t.
A few weeks back Carlson said he is done with the Republican party, a party who in his own words he’s supported actively, often passionately for three decades. Why? Because they disagree with HIMSELF over the Iran question. So opposition to Obamacare now means nothing. Support for a free market means nothing. Better schools and/or school competition mean nothing. Lower taxes mean nothing. Defense of Constitutional safeguards…NOTHING. He is abandoning support for ALL of that and never voting for a Republican again because thy don’t see the Iran issue as he sees it. What a self absorbed, elitist asshole! What a disappointment!
But wait, Tucker might say, between silly giggles and serious frowns, Bibi Netanyahu destroyed our national sovereignty by “forcing” us to attack Iran. This might be his possible defense against me calling him an elitist asshole.
But I must have missed the moment when Netanyahu forced anyone in this country to do anything. Did he go ahead and attack hoping we’d climb aboard? Yep! Did we? Yep! Is there ANY evidence whatsoever that anyone was FORCED us to join the fight? NOPE! This is just made up shit, by Carlson to get clicks, likes and cash from stupid people. What he provides as evidence is that he says these ridiculous things and others say these ridiculous things and THAT is your evidence.
Owens is even worse. She is now on a Asperger spectrum-like fixation on Israel having shot Charlie Kirk, a long-time friend of Israel who simply disagreed with their lobby, AIPAC.
There have been people on both sides of the aisle who have disagreed with, and often attacked AIPAC officially and unofficially. They weren’t shot. But according to Owens, if we can’t see Israel’s fingerprints all over the Kirk shooting, we are just not paying attention.1
Well, I’m sorry, Candace. I must have been absent that day they taught gullible in the third grade.
Then there’s Megyn. She made her bones being smart, tough. She’s a trained lawyer. She claims to be driven by the facts.
And yet, she’s gone down this Jew hating rabbit hole head first. And talk about elitist.
She bitches about pro Israel INFLUENCERS (emphasis hers and acconp-anied by a snear at the term influencer) touting Israel and her goals online. The money spent on these efforts are obviously to get legislators to support Israel in congress. AND OMG…THEY HAVE A LOBBY!
Two things about this that make it stupid: First, every nation on earth spend money (some maybe not as much as Israel, that’s of no consequence) to influence public opinion and politicians directly in this country.
“We don’t want your influence here! Get out!” she shouted on her radio show, as if she were casting out demons in a grade school play. It was kind of embarrassing to listen to.
But her big beef was the use of the internet. The very idea that ANYONE would use the internet in the United States to advance the cause of Jews in the United States… I think she threw up in her mouth a little bit. Don’t these interlopers understand that it is only people like Megyn with big contracts and teams of marketers, who are legitimate INFLUENCERS in this world? How dare he pursue HIS agenda, paid or unpaid, in Megyn’s domain!?!?
And yes, I said Jews. All three of these wieners tell us they aren’t attacking the Jews. NO! They’re attacking Israel, and the Israeli governent, and supporters of same, and AIPAC, and Jews paid by AIPAC to promote AIPAC and people who agree with any of those people, and people who don’t think Gaza was genocide.
Okay, Tucker, Candace, Megyn, let’s be real here. With a few exceptions, ALL those entities are THE JEWS. PERIOD. And you’ve chosen this path not because you believe any of it, but because it was trending in the easiest markets to rope in. Spare me the pleas that you are not being antisemitic. You ARE!
