And the DEI propaganda machine was ready!

In most news outlets, print and electronic, there are libraries of obituatries written about people who are still alive and kickin’. They are compiled and filed away. Obit editors will bounce articles about famous people off the files, and add any recent news to the appropriate obituary. When said politician, celebrity, pope croaks, then BAM! The NYP or WAPO hit the streets and websites within minutes with a full, cradle-to-grave rundown on the fresh corpse.

And so it appears is the case of Trump’s removal of people we all knew were going. I am absorbing the media’s reaction to the C. Q. Brown firing as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS). Outlets like CBS appeared to have their article already written. All they had to do was plug in what they had on his replacement and out the story goes.

And what a story! The racial overtones are shameless and downright patronizing. They lamented he was ONLY the second Black Chairman of the JCS. Only? Is there a quota that we failed to meet? We’ve had Black men serve as President, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of State and National Security Advisor. We had an arguably Black female Vice President. CJCS is junior to all those positions. So I fail to see any reason to put the word “only” or even “Black” in the story other than to further stoke racial resentment.

Of course, Brown himself lost no opportunity to discuss his race and how he saw race and diversity as important issues in a military. This, despite the fact that we have minorities, especially Black men and women in all ranks, all services and duties.

In an earlier article, celebrating Brown’s appointment to CJCS, an AP article said CQ spent a career “breaking barriers”. AP pointed out that he was the first Black Air Force Commander in the Pacific. Well, that’s not much of a cherry to pop when you were already serving under a Black man in the White House. It’s nice, but it ain’t historic. When do we stop patting minorities on the head for doing what everybody is already doing. When do we stop saying, Wow! You did that even though you’re a Black man, or a Hispanic or a woman! If a White guy did it that wouldn’t mean anything. But you did it you scrappy little minority guy! There are no barriers left to break down - with the exception of a woman president. And that is a matter for fickle voters. We’ve had two female nominees.

CBS says Brown made history as a pilot. No he didn’t. He was a pilot, and a good one. My man had a lot of stick time. But so have countless other guys. It’s an accomplishment. There is nothing historic about that.

Apolitical?

The reason Brown was let go had everything to do with that obsession with race, his woke ideology and silly support for dudes in dresses giving normal adults orders. Trans is a kinky fad for some and a severe, and genuine disorder for a few. And it is a morale killer in the military, not a force multiplier.

In response to CQ’s dismissal, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Armed Forces Committee, Jack Reed said

“A professional, apolitical military that is subordinate to the civilian government and supportive of the Constitution rather than a political party is essential to the survival of our democracy. For the sake of our troops and the well-being of every American, elected leaders — especially Senate Republicans — must defend that enduring principle against corrosive attempts to remake the military into a partisan force.”

This is one of the silliest assertions I’ve heard out of DC; laugh out loud funny. Every since Robert McNamara and his killer spreadsheets, we have graduated one generation after another of post-Vietnam “yes” men. These guys have routinely skewed Left in their actions, if not their thinking. The regulation monkeys are tight with the defense contractors, the defense contractors are tight with the Pentagon brass, so the brass is tight with the regulation monkeys - almost ALL Democrats.

Brown, Milley and Austin, in an effort to curry favor with that circular food chain, enacted the very worst of a stupid concept. Along with DEI (we can pick that apart again in a later show) they brought the trans fad into the military. They knew the damage they were doing. They watched with all of us as recruitment numbers plummeted on their watch. They knew what they were doing would be abhorrent to ALL normal people. They didn’t care. They were on a crusade to get rich on the back end. I’ve never considered Lloyd Austin the sharpest pencil in the box, but Brown and Milley were enacting these nonsense policies, knowing full well that they would substantially weaken the war fighting capabilities of the United States.

It didn’t help CQ’s case when he said early on that if Trump fires him, he won’t leave. I believe that he is smart enough to have threaded the needle with the Donald. But he chose preemptive insubordination as a strategy. Not a good move for someone who is supposed to be an expert.

I can’t say with any certainty if we are about to enter a Golden Age for America. Trump has a long way to go and a lot of congressional asses to kick if he is to succeed in truly salvaging what is left of our government. But for at least a few years, our war fighters are about to live a golden age.
