The pretense of surprise.

I recently read a WAPO column about the Trump transition process. It is proof the Left has yet to learn their lesson about projection as politics. The article linked speaks of sharp elbows and infighting and bitch biting by the members of the Trump transition team.

It is almost laughable how they are trying to make this into a “thing”. All the behavior the article outlines here have been a mainstay of every transition team with the possible exception of Obama’s. His was said to be one long pizza party/drum circle, and his administration would indicate such. It was fantasy land for eight years. And it was corruption on steroids.

But when you have incoming people, trying to make their mark, trying to bend policy to their own passions, these kind of fiery exchanges are common. Is there anyone stupid enough to believe such things don’t occur in any board room when big changes are afoot? Do you think the people who handled Biden 100% of the time, established priorities and pecking orders without rancor? Dem zealots and staffers are among the MOST self-important, self-promoting animals on the planet.

Hell, the factions inside the Kammy campaign were close to hitting each other with hammers for the first two months of the that four-month debacle. They were happy to browbeat each other and talk to the media about it as well. They couldn’t even muster the trust in their candidate to have a real press conference for the entire campaign. The Biden faction (weak sisters), the Kammy faction (non-entities) and the Obama faction (the bosses), hated each other.

Question

Is there an honest, self-respecting Dem out there who approves of what Joe Duh is doing in Ukraine?

After years of saying long-range missiles were a non-starter in Ukraine, Biden introduces them to a war zone POST-ELECTION! After decades of politicians - especially Lefties - saying the landmines should be outlawed Biden is encouraging Ukraine to employ them. What’s next, ICBMs outside Kyiv? Jesus!

A reasonable adult can’t even pretend Biden’s handlers aren’t getting people killed just to make things more difficult for the next AMERICAN administration. Not only does the ruling class not care about YOU, they are actually happy to see more people die in Eastern Ukraine. Obama’s goal is to make sure Trump has to spend a few extra weeks shutting down that wasteful and pointless war.

I have reservations.

Trump picked a Yale guy for Treasury Secretary. If being an Ivy League elitist isn’t enough, he picked a Wall Street guy. He’s not only a Wall Street guy, he was a hedge fund manager. Worse, he was once a creature of George Soros. For the truly slow, Soros money only steers Left.

This is the guy who is going to carry the economic banner for DJT? The media and the Hamptons crowd on Wall Street are cheering the pick. What could possibly be a worse?

I see trouble ahead between Treasury and Trump. I hope I’m wrong about this.
