I have alternately criticized and quoted Peter Zeihan here on the P4B. I can do that because I am not a victim of fallacy. One is not wrong about one thing (especially if it is his field of study) simply because I disagree with him on another. His insight into the numbers and geopolitical strategy - his strategic insights- are top notch.
But lately he has really begun to disappoint. As soon as Zeihan ventures into domestic politics, including it’s bearing on foreign affairs, he goes all panty-clad, TDS, Lefty. He stops thinking clearly and starts to sound like your Karen cousin who couldn’t do objective if it came with handles and a set of instructions.
On March 14, 2025 he released a video where he listed all the things, HE THINKS Russia will demand in exchange for peace. He called it swinging for the fences. That’s a good characterization. The list is long, and in some cases downright silly. And we’ve not heard a peep most of these “demands”.
Where Zeihan strays entirely from reason is where he lists all the ways HE SAYS Russia is already succeeding in this pursuit. There is nothing factual connecting his critique of the Trump administration, who he says are accepting the Russian wish list hand-over-fist, and Russian influence.
To listen to what amounts to a vindictive rant (although delivered in Peter’s perky, self-certain style), you’d think Putin has an office in the White House. Most of his assertions about Russian influence sound like the goofiest of the Dem trolls we hear from on social media - and laugh at.
He says Putin will demand we abandon our allies in exchange for peace. Zeihan says we are already doing that. Look at the way Trump makes demands on NATO. In the process of doing this, Zeihan conflates NATO with the EU. He mixes up trade with military strategy. While the two considerations do dance, they are not intertwined, certainly not in the way Trump is doing business.
Zeihan cited tariffs as an example of bad MILITARY policy vis a vis Putin. Whenever Zeihan raises the tariff issue, he always has a different set of numbers in his characterization of the exercise. He calls all the feints Trump has thrown and some real punches, as being 25 or 64 or 37 different tariff policies in one month or one week or one day.
None of Trump tariff moves so far, except for China, have been policies. They have been threats. The threats have been made and reaction gauged. Based on the reactions, the threats were throttled, cancelled or postponed. It isn’t policy until it happens. I am hoping that the idea is for none of it to happen - none of it to become actual policy.
We’re told that Putin will demand agricultural trade agreements that WILL gut our farming sector and says Trump will play along. He includes RFK in this conspiracy theory.
While I agree that RFK’s ideas on soil enhancement are pure lunacy, he is not the Ag Secretary. Neither Brooke Rollins nor Trump have any intention of doing to farming what Trump did to the Department of Ed. We don’t need DC deciding what to teach kids in Oregon. But we do need food and the ability to trade it aggressively.
If just this one of Peter’s rants were true it would mean that Donald Trump had abandoned everything he ever thought about everything, and was looking to please Putin at the expense of starving Americans. Say what you want about Trump. This is one of the stupidest things Zeihan has ever said. And he says more and more stupid things as time goes by, especially in this 14 March piece.
Zeihan predicts Russia will pair a peace deal with the US eliminating vaccines. He says RFK is utterly under Putin’s spell on this score. The idea, Peter says, is to diminish our demographics until they look like Russia’s. Zeihan implies, rather directly, that everything we hear from RFK about vaccines are words put directly into his mouth by Putin.
Are you starting to spot the similarities to kitchen variety, Lefty shills here? For a long time, anyone who didn’t support Ukraine in the war was a Putin stooge, according to bitchy Karen’s on FB. Now, according to Zeihan, citing every desire of Putin, anyone who supports ANYTHING Trump does is a Putin stooge, as is his entire administration. It’s a shameful display by someone who actually knows what he is saying is pure bullshit as he is saying it.
RFK doesn’t want to eliminate vaccines. He wants to study the schedule and its benefits and possibly throttle the number and frequency of vaccines. He also wants to research getting aluminum and mercury OUT of the jabs. This is hardly controversial. In fact, for the LEFT, is was non-controversial until Covid, when we were all supposed to believe you wouldn’t get Covid if you had the jab - and at the same time believe the if you didn’t get the jab, you endangered people who did. Both things cannot be true. As it turned out neither was. But suddenly all vaccines became a religion.
So RFK was a Lefty outlier on the issue. Then he teamed up with the dreaded Orange Man! The gasps of the panty-clad could be heard around the world. The panty-clad care more about political tribalism than finding out why our infant mortality rate is almost 5 times what Japan’s is. Vaccines are put on the schedule with almost NO research, and certainly none regarding long-term effects. Japan’s are voluntary and more spread out over time.
The newest religious dogma surrounding vaccines is the mRNA shots. They are not inoculations, as we learned with Covid. And they have not been proven effective, as we learned with Covid. But in preparation for the next “pandemic” which will mysteriously occur within a few years of the last one versus a century, drug companies are already cranking out various mRNA concoctions we will be expected to accept. Sit down, shut up and take the goddamn jab.
The mRNA shot messes with your system, both genetically and in terms of toxicity. There have been a myriad of side effects reported. But it seems nobody but RFK and a few non-quack doctors want to investigate the connections to the vax. And that according to the Lefty tribe is a bad thing, but only because Orange Man bad.
Let’s get back to PZ.
Trump has said he wishes we could rid the planet of nukes. With ZERO documented proof, Zeihan worked that into Putin’s potential Hail Mary peace proposals. Zeihan said Trump might unilaterally denude us of nukes at Putin’s bidding. I take back my earlier conclusion. THIS is the stupidest thing Peter, or anyone else, has ever said.
For peace in Europe, Zeihan says Putin will likely demand all his debts to the US be forgiven. Putin will complain about our bond market and Trump will have bond traders and purveyors of other debt instruments arrested, so Russia can thrive and the US economy can collapse. Sure, Pete. That’ll happen.
The silly list goes on. This is all part of a 20-minute TDS rant. That’s long for a Zeihan YouTube update. I won’t take the time to spank all of it. But go ahead and search Zeihan, 14 March 2025 on YouTube.
Or better yet, listen to Peter two years ago, then listen now. Or read his book. The End of the World is Just the Beginning. I did. It’s a great piece of work. When he wrote that he was an objective observer. Now he’s an opinion guy, a sometimes shill, with TDS. He’s saying please like me and my stats because I really, really REALLY1 hate DJT too! For Peter to pretend to actually believe ALL this is embarrassing to watch. It’s undignified…and unhelpful to ANYONE.

Embedded in the text below the audio line is a video. It’s basically a depiction of the life of a Monster Truck family. They represent Tomfoolery Motor Sports. Their premiere trucks are Kraken and Jester.
The video is interesting, even if you’re not a Monster Truck fan. There’s great footage and some amazing stills. The family lives for the sport. Their automotive knowledge is extensive. If Monster Jam went away tomorrow, this family would never starve.
But the REAL reason I am bringing this to you is because the video was made by my buddy, Jakob. I’ve written about him before. There are a few absolutes you might have stated about Jakob a few years back. He was a freak for Monster Trucks, he has autism and was painfully shy.
Then he got his dream job. Tomfoolery HIRED him to do their video work. He knows as much about the sport as any fan and he is a very hard worker. This video is a sampling of the results of his work. He travels with the family on the Monster Jam circuit and right now is at the nationals in Salt Lake City. I think you might even hear him asking questions late in the video. That wouldn’t have happened just a short time ago. My man is in his element!
Not to many of us have their dreams come true the way Jakob has. So good work, buddy. And keep those videos coming!

BUT, many subscribers come from my WordPress days and don’t show up on my Substack heat map. That’s only for people who subscribed since I moved here. AND I WANT THAT WHOLE MAP TO TURN ORANGE! And while we’re on the subject, how can we possibly NOT be in Kentucky?!?!?! I offered to write speeches for Rand Paul, for god sake! I didn’t get the job.
