We are watching in real time how Lefties invest…with their panty clad asses.
A few days back, Salesforce, Inc. (Symbol CRM) lost ground on the stock market. Why? Because the CEO, Marc Benioff, is 100% behind DJT and his effort to crush criminals and scrape illegals from our streets. At the time, Bemnioff was speaking of San Francisco, saying it needed a dose of what the Administration is doing elsewhere.
Nothing about the quality of the company has changed. It is still a good investment (IMHO). BUT, the CEO caused Lefties to have excruciating ass pain by agreeing with Trump. Never mind our streets are awash in garbage, which would describe some of the people on those streets. Never mind how many kids are killed by this scum every month! The CEO spoke well of Orange Man. OMG!
This is how the Left sees investing. It’s amazing they can cross the street and not get run over with such decision-making skills.
Candace - such an incredible disappointment
I enjoyed the work of Candace Owens for years. She had real guts. I especially enjoyed when she left Jerry Nadler1 looking stupid, when he accused her of calling a colleague stupid, but she hadn’t called anyone stupid. That’s how one sets one’s self up to look stupid. Good job making yourself look stupid, Jerry.
That was in 2019. That was around the time I first noticed Owens. She was quick-witted, came with the facts and didn’t take shit from anyone - certainly not a fat non-entity like Nadler.
She was fun to listen to right up until she got wrapped around the Brigite Macron is a man circus, and started to tell people they just didn’t understand Kanye. The former was kind of funny. But instead of treating it as a side light, as I do my favorite foil, Zeihan, she made it a mainstay of her work for too long a time. The latter was just pointless and embarrassing. She was hitching her wagon to a crazy, dead horse.
Still, I was hoping she’d turn her considerable rhetorical bite back to serious things. She never did.
Most recently, she decided that Charlie Kirk was not allowed to have his own views on the Israel lobby. Kirk had always supported them. But when he agreed to appear on Tucker Carlson2, that lobby went all girly Left and demanded he cancel the appearance. They slammed him repeatedly and publicly for it. At one point, Charlie wrote a frustrated text to a friend saying he couldn’t keep supporting them under such withering fire.
Of course, he couldn’t. No one should. A false friend is just that. You don’t change your plans or blinker your ideas for a false friend. That didn’t mean that Kirk had abandoned the idea of backing ISRAEL. But he was, at least for the moment, done playing paddy cakes with the political clowns on this side of the ocean.
Then Charlie got shot.
In a low-class, smarmy, ugly fit of professional jealousy, Owens got hold of, and published the screen shots of, Kirk complaining about the Israel lobby lecturing him about how he lived his life! How immature. How pathetic.
But what can you say about a person who gave up their good name for Kanye? She tried to leverage some comeback by publishing a dead ally’s personal communications. It will work with a tiny sliver of the right, the mouth-breathing fringe who now believe Churchill was the bad guy of WWII. But she WILL lose everyone else. She is now Queen of the illiterate Billy Bobs and the trolling-in-your-underwear-in-mom’s-basement crowd. Nobody else. What a sad collapse. She could have been special. She pissed it all away out of pure envy.
For the record, that’s not how adults operate.
And speaking of Zeihan…
As always, when he gets purely political, he goes girly Left. His 9 and 10 Oct clips on YouTube were an astounding example of how yet another otherwise smart person can show how shallow they can be. And this one is a shame too.
I still remain objective. Peter has made a study of geopolitics and strategy. NONE of his real work supports his daisies-in-the-sidewalks nonsense when it comes to partisan politics, domestically. His obsession with Trump is now a terminal condition (This week he pointed out that Trump is basically not Pericles and makes second rate speeches. Gee, who knew?). Zeihan can’t shake the TDS. And it is a standing insult to his wider work.
On 9 Oct, Zeihan produced a swishy, whiney screed about the Pete Hegseth meeting with the flag-rank officers in the military. In it, he PRETENDS not to understand the reason for the meeting. And then, by his own words, makes the case for the big conflab.
What Hegseth was CLEARLY doing by putting all the top brass in one room was
1) Making his views on military policy clear to those who might pretend later not to understand it, face to face. More about that in just a sec.
2) He was also doing it loudly and publicly so there should be no doubt in the minds of Americans WHO was in charge and what to expect. Boy and girls, this is a breath of fresh air. The new directives are not coming out through intentionally boring, somewhat vague, aspirational memos, subject to change based on public reaction. It was an open, plainly worded statement of intent on the part of the man IN CHARGE. When, before Trump, has the Executive Branch been so accessible and plain spoken with the public.
Here, we saw our entire stable of Generals and Admirals getting their marching orders. None will later be able to say they didn’t know, or as Cousin Vinny would say, “you were serious about dat?”
Along that line, Zeihan claims a nameless, empty uniform came out of the conference and said, in effect, if Pete wanted to show us who was in charge and that he didn’t now what he was doing, he could have done that in an email. And THAT was the reason for the very public demonstration!
For the record, I do not believe that. No one came out of the meeting and blurted that one out, at least not in the presence of any colleagues, not if he values his stars. But if one was truly that stupid and petty, that is the one who should have listened to Pete most intently. He will be the first to go when he either shirks his responsibilities or decides he’s smarter than Pete and speaks publicly against the new orders.
We DO still have too many panty-clad, post Vietnam “Yes” men running around the Pentagon. So somebody WILL end up doing that. I don’t think they understand how soundly they WILL lose. But they may score an appearance on the morning cattle call known as The View.
Oh, but the recruiting!
In this smug clip (Rogan said he’s never met anyone as self-certain as Zeihan) Peter says that the meeting of the big brass will hurt recruitment because it isn’t dripping with equity and says there will only be one physical standard for combat roles. He says this will hurt the recruitment of women who have been so successful in the military especially in the technical military.
Well, Peter, the only evidence we have of what a masculine, muscular military envisioned by Hegseth and Trump will be is the explosion in recruitment we saw this year. Considering how many bases we’ve closed and how much housing we’ve given away or torn down, I don’t know where they are going to put them all. That’s a good problem to have. And that won’t change until kids see the brass going back to coddling queers and fatties.
As for the women, you said it yourself -TECHNICAL. Don’t worry, there will be women who will outrun and out pushup lots of men in the military. For reasons other than that, I still see putting both sides of our breeding stock into battle as problematic, but as of Pete’s speech, if a woman can hack the training, she’ll get to carry a gun or drive a tank.
But that is NOT what most women join the military to do. They are smart enough to know that there are more technical and administrative jobs than combat jobs. By learning those jobs, they launch careers which will work in and out of the military.
It isn’t lost on me that Zeihan showed some of that self-certainty that Rogan talked about when he said “I guarantee you” it will hurt the recruitment, when all reality points to the contrary.
As for Trump’s side of the show, I was annoyed as soon as he showed up. I knew the Trump speaking style wasn’t going to impress these guys. It never impresses me, and I voted for the guy. I wish the Donald just came onto the stage, pointed to Hegseth and said. “What he said. Ditto. Carry on.”
Hegseths’s qualifications
Here’s where Zeihan should have just be wearing a Walz for President tee shirt. He talks like all the Dems in DC and all the bitchy, Lefty trolls on social media when he talks about “qualifications”. He did it again in his 10 Oct clip as well.
Zeihan triumphantly proclaimed that Hegseth said himself, in his comfirmation hearings, that he (Hegseth) was not qualifies to be SecDef (SecWar?). What Ziehan pretends not to understand, or is hoping you didn’t see the hearing so you’ll believe, is that Hegseth was putting a shot across the bow of Congress by saying that.
Pete pointed out that he was not an insider. He had no army of party hacks calling for his appointment. He doesn’t intend to carry on the business-as-usual style of leadership we’ve seen since FDR. He didn’t come from the knife-and-fork social set. Although he does hold two degrees from Harvard and Princeton. The tongue-in-cheek point Hegseth was making, as Zeihan well knows, was that if Congress wanted another empty suit to approve, he wasn’t their guy. As for qualifications…nobody is qualified to be a cabinet secretary until they are a cabinet secretary. Just like no one is qualified to be president until they are president.
Pete is very well credentialed in politics and public policy. And his REAL military experience came on the field, not on General Snufflebutt’s Pentagon staff. Zeihan REALLY shames himself with this kind of rhetorical yarn spinning.
Hegseth is growing the military, and the assembly of flag ranks for a face-to-face was brilliant. Peter and the trolls can cry all they want to.

I won’t go into much detail about this one. Here, Zeihan says a man with a PhD in economics isn’t qualified to be head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics because, according to Zeihan, he has no knowledge of statistics. Let me repeat that. A man with a PhD in economics KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT STATISTICS! Zeihan actually said that. Evidently, they stopped teaching statistics in all economics institutions.
This is my frustration with Peter and domestic politics. He blurts things out that make zero sense in pursuit of his partisan wishes.
Also in this article, he reinforces Hegseth’s snark in front of Congress. Peter says that EJ Antoni is not qualified to be head of BLS because nobody likes him and he’s too MAGA. His background not withstanding. So Hegseth was right. All too often people are approved for cabinet positions because they are in the club; they are connected and will play ball with DC swamp monsters. Thanks for the verification, Peter.
Zeihan also sings the praises of US government statistics, saying they are the envy of the world and OH, so accurate. He said Trump just wants people in the office to make HIM look good.
Well, there was a 47 out of 48 month period under Obama where the BLS would tout good news with wonderful numbers only to quietly revise those numbers down a week or two later. They’d squelched bad news by under-reporting it, only to very quietly revise those up later.
During Biden’s tenure, which is to say Obama again, they did the same thing. The most egregious of all this is over-counting jobs by almost a million.
And yet through Trumps early first term more people found employment than in any time in modern history. A few demographics had the highest employment and weekly income in all their history. And yet BLS says unemployment was about the same as under Obama and Obiden. The two can’t be true. So they weren’t cooking the books for Trump and Trump didn’t fire anybody back then.
So, of late, Zeihan has been a consistent disappointment. He seems to think if he speaks of his utopian aspirations for the Left, you’ll see it with the same interest as his real work, which he is doing less and less of these days.
Trump’s cabinet is not made up of Swamp monsters. And THAT is the rub among the chattering classes and bloviators like Peter.

Nadler’s name had escaped me momentarily as I was writing this. If you ever forget his name, just google “old, fat congressman from NY” and his bio will pop immediately.
For the record, I was also a HUGE fan of Tucker. But he now seems to be sliding into the same goofy sludge as Candace and some others on the Right. I can only write it all off as the immature urge to shock, in the hopes of building numbers. Because it makes no sense.
