Busy, Busy!
Well, Spring has sprung. I'll be mowing soon. Yuk! And I have to fix up the undisclosed location for occupation. Also a bitch of a job!
For the last week I have been doing quick hits and bringing forward some oldies while visiting family. During that time, I saw my granddaughter, Caity play for her college team, Farliegh Dickinson University. I also got to see Bella play for Cardinal O'Hara High School. Those little girls are now as tall as Pop! I also got to watch Pat Jr. and Shane practice. They play with confidence and muscle memory certitude.
Since we last reasoned together I wrapped up my Series with Curt Weldon. And what a series it was! He is a great interview and a big "get" for the P4B. He was a US Congressman for a long time and has for some decades now been a nationally known advocate for firefighters and EMS here and abroad. If you haven't seen this 3 part interview, you are really missing out. Jump on over there and check it out. And PLEASE...share, share, share - especially with firefighters and EMS personnel. They know this guy. And they know he is fighting for them.
Part 1, Ep. 14: Really interesting firefighting history.
Part 2, Ep. 15: His political career and more fire stuff.
A bit later I spoke with author John Matthews. You may know him as J. C. Maetis. He's writes thrillers, historical fiction and political commentary. He is from the ailing (near failing) United Kingdom. We spent time on a few of his books. Especially The Vienna Writers Circle and Past Imperfect.
The latest P4B post is an oldie, brought forward as part of a promise to discuss how we dismantle the permanent governing class structure and REALLY cut profligate spending.
Street Politics: It Ain't Your Daddy's GOP Anymore. (The Book - Chapter 5)
So now, you're all caught up. Tomorrow, Monday, 24 March I'll drop an article on Supreme Court Justice, John Roberts. As the title says, "He's no Nino!"
To be sure to get it and all our stuff, subscribe right there, on my substack. It's free and I don't share emails! Please share and support us. I don't hide my stuff behind a paywall, but I frequently ask for direct support. You can also support the P4B and Free Zone by shopping Po River!
I'll see you again in a few weeks! Cheers!
