It has come to my attentions…because I looked… that there was no Free Zone Digest for July. So, you can link here to catch up here.
We came out of the gate strong in August with a 2-part show in military history. Professor Michael Stroud was our guest. I invited him on to discuss an article he wrote for Strategy and Tactics Magazine, issue 354. On newsstands now. We talked about the battle of Chillianwala, and how there were just a ton of lessons to be learned there. Eventually, these lessons were finally taken onboard by the next generation of military leaders.
For the last part of Episode 34 and through 35 we discussed military leadership, and had a very interesting conversation about what we called the thins threads of history. Small events leading to broad consequences. This would spawn a deeper dive later.
Special note: Among with his books, Mike is becoming more popular with his articles. He’s got another expected to be published in the same magazine soon.
I released an audio on 8 Aug with the long-ish name, Flesh-eating disease, Whining Socialists, Kicking Kinzinger and Lessons Learned.
The disease mentioned is a rather common occurrence on the Gulf Coast. There are a number of organisms floating around the coast, almost all caused by us doing stupid things. But the media only picked up on it every few years and gets all breathy. Yes, these waters are risky to swim in. It is even more dangerous to eat fish from these waters. But every year millions of people swim in the Gulf and eat all manner of shellfish from those waters. So, it’s a news story, but…meh.
The “whiners” included Randi Weingarten, mobbed up union boss who doesn’t care about students, and people at NPR crying about have one tax dollars pulled from their budget. PBS/NPR are already NOT non-commercial. They start and end every show with a list of sponsors, many of them corporations hawking their shit.
If you know Adam Kinzinger, then the title of that segment is self-explanatory. I often want to go after him and Swalwell and Reich, on everything they say. They are always SO shockingly idiotic. But it would get boring coming up with new synonyms for “idiot” and “liar”, five or six times a week.
On 9 August I waxed poetic about a sunset and the passing of my childhood hero. I was a aerospace fanatic, and Jim Lovell surpassed even Neil Armstrong as the giant of the space program.
A lesser man might have slowed down at this point. Not me. I turned up the heat!
On 11 August I featured Luzinda Umaru. He runs the Kyberese Christian Orphanage. I am supporting them, on the weight of my conversations with Luzinda, and have a link in most of my posts. But to be honest, I have not ben able to establish their bonafides. If you know how I might do that, I’d appreciate it.
13 August, my birthday, I posted an audio asking, “What’s wrong with Mamdani?” It was intended as a joke, of course. The only thing right about this socialist charlatan is his expensive wardrobe. Even when he dresses down he wreaks of “designer” and “trust fund”. Beyond that, he represents abject failure, should he gain office in NYC.
15 August was my sister’s birthday. (She is WAY older than me. At the speed of light, it would take a spaceship many decades to travel from my birthday to Teesy’s birthday.) The sun rose that day on Part 1 of my Free Zone show with Bob Zeidman. The Free Zone scooped everybody, when Bob announced HERE, for the first time, that he is taking his fight with Mike Lindell, the Pillow Guy, to the Supreme Court.
Also on the 15th, I released an essay on THE STUPIDEST MAN IN JOURNALISM. I short and worthwhile read.
On the 18th, I posted an audio about a Crybaby Kinzinger video. It’s amazing how much nonsense and dishonesty a Dem can pack into a five minute video!!
Now this next one is important. I put up a survey on 21 August. I need to know my audience. My stats are kind of vague. But things like this surgery, plus reviewing, sharing, subscribing and commenting, all lead to growth. Half the questions are jokes (except for how good-looking you say I am). It’s a silly, easy survey.
On 22 August I dropped Part 2 with Bob Zeidman. This show was about poker! Bob has been to the WSOP several times and has beaten the best in the world in other venues with his unique style of play.
27 August brought a wide-ranging audio. I started with an expansive continuation of the thin threads mentioned in Mike Stroud’s appearance. What if, because of one sentence uttered in 1863, there was no World War II? No Hitler?
Later in the show I went on to discuss the cringier aspects of the weird Lefty demonstrations we see, supporting terrorists, protesting safer streets, fighting to keep the war going in Ukraine. The cringiest bits are the hippies trying to relive their 60’s moments in really terrible songs.
We wrapped up the month of August on the 29th with a Free Zone called Comedians, Con Men and Casinos! It featured Michael “Micky Joseph” Bulanti. He told his story and another that lead to the making of
Vinnie Plays Vegas ON PRIME VIDEO.
So that is the month that was. Look for Barry Shore and some surprises as September unfolds. Cheers!
