The P4B/Free Zone Digest, Sep/Oct 2025
Late again! But lots to talk about!
The Fall colors look great this year!
So where the hell have I been?!
There are many reasons we haven’t talked in so long. Traveling twice to see my mom (her Rugby days are finally at an end), a truck repair saga and a bit of medical. And since one of those issues was part of the problem, I thought I’d start this Digest with my first in a series of consumer alerts.
Don’t go to these guys for vehicle problems!
Going back to the previous month, you know I was having maddening truck trouble. Turn the key - CLUNK! After three trips to Dahlgren Garage, asking them to check the wiring, among other things, they led me down three rabbit holes. None of which fixed the problem and left me almost $500 poorer.
Eventually, I went to a dealership. It was a simple wiring problem. Control voltage to the starter. The wire was just loose at the fuse box. So, that was two starters, a starter relay, my remote start removed, weeks of frustration and well over $800 for a wiggly wire.
Conclusion: Dahlgren Garage gets 1 of 5 stars. They need to send Yoda (their “genius” troubleshooter) to mechanics school, or at least teach him sequence-of-operation troubleshooting. He’s an Easter egger.1
And mom is doing pretty well.
She and her roommate, both in their 90’s, have decided to retire from being swimsuit super models. They said the walker and the wheelchair don’t convey that young, vibrant message advertisers are looking for.
So! Back to work!
On 10 September, I dropped a simple homage to my buddy Jakob and his friend’s at Tomfoolery. That’s a monster truck team. The post was just a link to their stuff. Jakob takes the video.
9/12 brought Barry Shore, Ambassador of JOY to the Free Zone. He explained his billion dollar give away idea. There are links to that and his books in the post below the video line.
It was around this time that Charlie Kirk was shot. On 22 Sep, the Free Zone covered Winsome Sears, Charlie and the Low-life Left. I pulled no punches discussing how devoid of intellect and decency the modern Left is. And don’t kid yourself. This includes a huge swath of the Dem party. The Dem “elites”, Fatty Pritzker, Alexandria Occasional Cotex and Greasy Gavin are among the worst offenders. It’s all here.
I followed that up on 23 Sep talking about Erika Kirk’s generous act of faith in forgiving Tyler Robinson for killing her husband. I contrasted that with Utah’s obligation to ignore that forgiveness and make sure Robinson rides the lightning for what he did. It isn’t the state’s place to forgive or not forgive. The state must dispose of criminals as the law requires. Erika’s act was not an exercise in law.
As October dawned, we discussed the moronic and childish, Schumer Shut Down. This will eventually be a long paid vacation for all the NON-ESSENTIAL government employees. There will, and should be some layoffs during the shut down. Not nearly enough, in my opinion.
In that same episode, I introduced my Navy Birthday Baseball Jersey. You can put the name, or ship and hull number, of your favorite command on the sleeve. You’re welcome!
I also spent time on how the Dems have entirely absorbed Orwellian doublespeak in every aspect of American politics. We talks about having Ilhan Omar slapped down with at least a censure. The House GOP lacks the requisite sack.
Exciting Cancer News
On 10 October, I dropped a very interesting quick hit about the work of Patrick Soon-Shiung. We ALL need to be more familiar with his work. I linked the episode to a VERY GOOD Megyn Kelly show discussing these cancer breakthroughs that the FDA is dragging their feet on approving. Is it Big Pharma money, or a determination to NOT give DJT a major victory that is keeping the FDA on the sidelines? People are dying while waiting.
This was followed on the 11th and the 15th by two more quick hits. The first dealt with the Donald NOT getting the Nobel prize. There are greater tragedies in life. The latter was a nuanced and likely surprising discussion of Candace Owens (she’s become the odd duck), and my foil/source of ideas, Peter Zeihan.
18 - 23 Oct were pretty busy. After Pete Hegseth gave the top brass their marching orders in a VERY public forum (outstanding idea!) he ran aground 2 weeks later by establishing some really weird media policies. I am not against all of them, but at least two are ridiculous.
On the 21st I wrote a quick hit on Reality vs Ignorance, discussing Israel issues and the lack of understanding by many. It’s short. But I think it’s a good argument.
I wrapped up the month with my 23 Oct piece. It may be the most important piece you’ll read this year. It warns of our coming digital nightmare. I have railed against all of this for years. I hear other talking heads in the last week or two seriously taking up the issue. But if we don’t fight this, present day 65 year olds WILL witness the end of our liberties.
November will bring some real circus elections. Can’t wait to see how all that turns out. Be you. Hang tough. Cheers.

An Easter egger guesses at problems, “fixes” the guess, then guesses again. Eventually the Easter egger may stumble onto the problem. But the money and lost time is NOT worth it.
