Will he or Won’t He?
In my 19 Jan 25 post I nudged Dan Bongino to ante up on all the investigations he says he was plugged into; the Butler assassination attempt, the bombs at the DNC and RNC on 5 Jan 21, and you can add to that, who the coke in the White House belonged to.
I said we were far beyond the need to be cautious on the issues. With Trump in the White House and openness being the order of the day, along with the present popularity of exposing the egregious waste of your tax dollars, his show could only have benefited from the release of all that information.
Nose Candy
To review, the baggie of cocaine, found in the White House (I didn’t mention that in the January post), was the property of someone in a very high position, or related to someone on a very high position. The Crackhead? Jean Pierre? Cackles? Anyone responsible for keeping Joe Duh out of the public eye? I’d be snorting coke and sniffing glue if that was my job.
The White House lied its ass off in covering the identity of the owner. They expected us to believe that, just like the cameras in Epstein’s cell block, the cameras in the White House, pointed at the surface where the coke was found, JUUUUUST happened to be out of commission on that very day. Oh my g’ness!
Right. Pull the other one, it plays Jingle Bells.
But my man, Dan, says he had front line information, unimpeachable sources, pointing to the smacked ass who dropped the baggie on the shelf.
Okay, fine.
The hole in The Donald’s ear
Discussing Butler, Bongino reported that certain agents involved in that fiasco had been getting cushy assignments and transfers, even promotions and bonuses, to inspire selective amnesia regarding events of that day. Once again, citing the best of sources, there were serious shenanigans surrounding the attempted assassination of a presidential candidate in June. This was the event Dan was most emphatic about in terms of KNOWING of a major cover up at the highest levels.
Put a pin in that one, too.
DNC, RNC. Boom, Boom. But not.
My former co-host, Ron Cori was like a hound dog following clues about the Jan 5 ‘21 bomb guy. We covered it many times during the run of the Jordan/Cori Show. This link is the most recent example.
Again, Dan Bongino claimed to be on the cutting edge of this issue. In fact, when running down DNC bomb rabbit holes, Bongino was often a starting point. So, I called for Dan to buck it up. Tell us who the major players were. Who did the phone towers uncover as the key culprit? Evidently Dan’s sources had the scoop.
Well, Dan Bongino is now to be the Assistant Director of the FBI. The FBI was the bellybutton for ALL of three of these cases. The Secret Service is no longer allowed to investigate things that fall under their purview at the time of an incident. So Dan is now in the catbird seat. And we are about to find out what he is made of.
Empire Syndrome
I say that because I can’t say if Bongino is going to be seduced by the illusion of power that comes with high office, especially in a discipline he was a part of for so long. It’s very heady stuff. You walk into your office on the first day, people are practically bowing and scraping. You want for nothing. You are surrounded by very slick, sophisticated people. In hushed and efficient terms they give you the lay of the land.
Dan MIGHT be inclined to say, “First order of business: We are going to get to the bottom of the Butler, DNC/RNC bombs and the cocaine affairs straight away!” Who knows? He might not.
But if he does, remember, the people kissing his feet, burning incense and basically making themselves indispensable to him, will at least try to tell him how there are procedures and sensibilities that his high office must respect. How effective they are at seducing him, and they have made careers doing it, will tell us if Dan has been all this time, just a showman, or if he was earnest about exposing all the shit we’ve been putting up with throughout Obama’s third term.
C’mon, Dan! Remember the neighborhood! Don’t be seduced by these people! Open the books!
Unhappy Joy
Well, Joy Reid is no more - well, at least not on TV. The racist, Trump-obsessed crazy lady will have to sling her shit somewhere else. Her show was an irritant, her ratings were laughable. People are saying she’ll hit the podcast space. That oughtta be a hoot.
The fact is there only two reasons Joy had any viewers at all. One was habit. If people tend to get there news from MSNBC and have the TV on in the evening, Reid would be there. It’s a yeah, whatever kind of audience. And that cohort has been steadily changing the channel for over a year now.
Then there are the stupid people. Guilty White liberals and race-obsessed, crybaby minorities that drooled on themselves every time Reid whined about the patriarchy, and systemic racism and the Donald being a fascist. Her audience, in the end, was made up of mostly those people - about 35,000 of them. To put that in perspective, if you are below 60k viewers on cable news, you might as well not exist. And many of her shows drew a little over half of that number. I hope she shows some gratitude on the way out, because MSNBC has been carrying her, and taking losses.
So, she may try to do a show online. But her audience will be smaller still. The folks who had her on for noise, the habitual watchers, won’t go to the trouble of finding her show on their google machines. She’ll be left with the tribal idiots, if they can actually find her. So, contrary to some speculation, she will never be the Black, female Joe Rogan. Or even the Black female Don Lemon, whose foray into podcasting has been rather flat.
Big guest coming to the P4B
I have developed a phobia about naming big guests before I have their interview in the can. But as of this moment, Friday is looking really big. I will say that I am scheduled to sit down with a national figure to discuss everything from 9/11 to the LA Fires to first responder issues in general. If you are fire crew or EMS, or love someone who is, tune in on Friday to meet my guest, or hear me make excuses for why he’s not there.
The wolf never loses sleep over the opinion of sheep.
Cheers.
