We put up with it again and again and again…
I don’t know about you, but I have not made it my life’s ambition to be TOLERATED. Tolerance of people and ideas is an insult. One accepts something or rejects it. If you find something objectionable, for example the Dark Ages practice of a religion which had been totally co-opted from two other religions (one of those having been grafted onto another), then you don’t enhance any discourse by “tolerating” the nonsense.
“Tolerance” of an argument that you reject is condescending. “Tolerance” of statements you find hateful is self-destructive, and not a little cowardly.
If you wish to conjure the result of mass “tolerance”, especially considering today’s subject, look no further than what is left of the once great United Kingdom. England teeters on the edge of oblivion thanks to their tolerance of that which is truly objectionable in any civilized society. Their government and police apperatus are now devoid of dignity and scuples, utterly emasculated. I don’t see a path back shy of a Trump-like revival of Western tradition and INTOLERANCE of mass antisocial behavior. That such behavior uses “religion” as an excuse should never be a factor in crushing it. And it all better happen right soon!
Christianity and Judaism are now 99.99% mainstream. Very docile in a social sense. I don’t know too may Methodists who advocate blowing oneself up with an explosive vest to bring only the best hymns to the masses. Extreme Judaism is usually a punchline in any community where they may even exist - all pretty damned rare.
The militant crazies in those religions have long since hung up their spurs. The tiny specks of crazy that exist under those banners don’t represent an appreciable threat to anyone.
But this is not so for Islam. Founded by the Merchant Muhammad, very near the silk road, after seeing how profitable it was to be at the top of a socio-spiritual movement, that group has from then until now had substantial elements in powerful positions, who think like Muhammad: Convert them or kill them. The examples are constant and frequent.
There are mass movements across the globe dedicated to killing those who reject Islam for any reason. There are governments, like Iran and the House of Saud, that are based on these lunatic practices.
Some will see these words and feign shock. But you know it’s true. We all do. We see it play out several times every month in places that range from uncivilized shitholes like Gaza to major western cities who should know better than to welcome this kind of thing into their midst.
And yet, welcome they do, and we are told to “tolerate” this insanity. Why?
The latest iteration of this, of course, is the Bourbon Street, New Year’s rampage by the latest martyr of the “religion of peace”. Once again, these cretins have marred an event of joy and killed people from whom they can legitimately claim absolutely no offense. We often hear made up nonsense offense. These people are sinners. These celebrations are not “halal”. To which the only civilized response would be tough shit, Helen. Mind your own business.
We are rapidly learning about the New Orleans jackass. He is an American. He’s ex-Army. He was radicalized here. I can’t wait to hear how long he’s been on the FBI’s radar. I also can’t wait to hear what local bomb factory he prayed in every week and what the local imam preached there.
I look forward to hearing how thoroughly the FBI has destroyed the network that created and supported this piece of shit. I am anxious to hear how many have been thrown in prison or, where appropriate, summarily deported.
What I suspect we’ll get is a boatload of excuses for doing little, if any of that.
Stop “tolerating”!
We are long past the time when we should be sending a message of utter rejection and resentment to violent stupidity we see on constant display in support of a religion.
Full disclosure, I can be accurately seen as less “tolerant” than many in that I see ALL religion as business. Some religions are more organized than others, some more profitable. But all are a business proposition for the purveryors. So I have no skin in the game of ranking one group over another. My only concern here is animal-like behavior in the name of one of the businesses.
There are those who like to point out that we are only 1300 years into Islam. When Christianity was 1400 years old we were still throwing suspected witches into the river tied to a stone. If they drowned, that was a sign of inocence.
Numerically, there is truth in this. But we have had an age of enlightmemnt and an information age during the intervening years. The pace of civilization and learning has been amazing. Those who send out the suicide bombers and bomb makers know what you and I know. They know there is no redemption for the rubes they send forth. But there is status to be had among the gullible, and money to be made.
Start rejecting today!
So, starting on the evening of 1 January 2025, when you hear the chattering class admonishing you to be tolerant of the concepts behind the attacks, blow raspberries. Stop being or enabling cowards. Take a stand against the uncivilized, backward, violent parts of our society and under no circumstances should you give the least respect to the henious acts they carry out or the people that make excuses for those acts.
The watch words for violent Islamic fundalism are Rejection, Disrespect, Anger and Contempt.

Go back to arresting grandmoms who sing songs in front of abortion clinics or cheered for the Donald on Jan 6.
