We’ll start with a bit of old business and move to the debate discussion in a bit.
Program note:
We have started to transition The Jordan/Cori Show to Rumble. Rumble is a great fit. The notification process leaves a bit to be desired. The new email address has caused no end of headaches. So, check your spam and other inboxes. If you see thep4b@streetpolitics.us be sure to mark it as NOT spam.
You will still get the essays and audio here. And we’ll continue to load the show here as well.
I did my research.
In Ep. 42 of The Jordan/Cori Show I brought up the challenge by JD Vance regarding the new abortion law in Minnesota. I winced a bit because to my knowledge, none of the laws permitting late-term abortions specifically had become law. I thought maybe California. I knew Virginia and New York were talking about it.
So I read the law, as passed in MN, and looked at the background. JD was right. I should have known better than to doubt him. And yes, you can get an abortion on demand at any time in MN. AND the baby can be PERMITTED to die if born alive.
The key is a devious bit of word-smithing insisted upon by Tampon Tim. A phrase was changed in the law. The requirement “make every effort to preserve the life of the baby” was changed to “ provide care for” the baby. This is a bit of legal two-step. “Care” can consist of life-saving efforts by a doctor with half a conscience. But it can also, without the least legal concern, include palliative care or hospice care. And the baby can absolutely be allowed to die.
Scenario: Disgusting, crazy lady comes in to a hospital 8.5 months pregnant demanding an abortion. One doctor might say, “kiss my ass, you’re too late.” It is legal to refuse to perform an abortion. But another doc says sure, and admits the woman. Before preps are made the woman goes into labor. No doc will start abortion procedures at this point.
So the baby is born. But the course of treatment demanded by the mother is abortion. The same doctor can say, “We have to respect the patient’s wishes. Give the baby pain medication and put it in a crib. RIP baby.
Before you call this in any way far-fetched (you’re thinking that no doctor would be that heartless), consider the Josef Mengele clinics popping up all over the country where actual doctors load kids up with hormones their bodies are NOT equipped to handle. Surgeons are severing the sex organs of perfectly healthy boys and girls. This is all done in support of a twisted fad. In 2010 no doctor worthy of spit would have even considered such a sick thing. But today, hey, there’s money to be made. Chop-Chop.
As a segue to the Cao/Kaine debate…
I heard a stat today. My co-host and poll watcher, Ron Cori read a poll that said that in VIRGINIA the top issue for Virginians is the economy. I’m with my fellow Virginians so far. Number 2 is abortion.
Seriously? How is this even on your radar? Virginia allows for abortion at 6 months! 95% of abortions have been preformed by that time. The issue is a commonwealth issue. You already won that fight. Anything beyond 6 months would be barbaric. I tend to think since you have a whole baby in there by then, even 6 months is nasty.
Let the folks in the more restrictive states hash it out with their governors and state houses. YOU, Virginia, need to vote your best interest. That includes getting illegals out of our state, sane spending, lower taxes and actually making babies before the pending demographic collapse destroys what we do have. (The decline discussed in this piece will only be livable if our young adults start breeding! Of not, the pain of the next decade becomes the pain of the next 3 or 4 decades.)
It is a testament to the shallow nature of the electorate that so many people will vote for a clearly self-centered, incompetent candidate because, “Abortion, abortion, abortion!” or, “She’s a girl and I’m a girl, or I’m a manbun feminist. So, I’m voting for the girl!” Pathetic. Our economic situation and standing in the world will not be served by Nanny state control or daisies-in-the-sidewalk platitudes. We need a muscular, individualist approach to everything. The “girl” is a puppet for central planners.
And not for nothin’: People who work for her, hate her.
And now to Hung Cao and Tim Kaine
We’ve come to an agreement on The Jordan/Cori Show, that Virginia is a bellwether state this year. The Youngkin election was a small step toward red. And, if we exercise the lease common sense this year, we will be voting for a REAL economic foundation to build upon. You can pick any single issue you want; fat government paychecks, abortion, twisted trans fads. None of them matter if we continue down the magic wishes economic policies of the Left.
On the debate, I’ll just give you the down and dirty. Kaine lied outright repeatedly. Cao was clearly the most genuine, but appeared a bit nervous. Like JD, facing Tampon Tim, Cao missed several opportunities to lay Kaine out. He did have one banner moment when he talked about drag queens in the military. He got a few more applause lines along the way. The only applause line I remember for Kaine was his sloganeering about abortion. In a state1, as I said, that allows abortion up to 6 months and limited abortion after.
I’ll just cover bullet points:
Kaine said Iran was aggressive under Trump, attacking our troops. That was true for a little while because they were used to getting away with hell, thanks to B. Hussein’s love for them. But Trump decapitated the IRGC and choked off Iran’s money supply. Iran got real quiet. They wouldn’t crawl out from under their rock again until Barry O’s third term, when they knew they could attack us with relative impunity. Conclusion: Kaine - outright lie.
On the economy, Kaine said 4 years ago Americans were lining up to buy toilet paper and unemployment was at an all time high. The obvious response to that would have been to accuse him of intentionally misleading the listener. The toilet paper thing was a case of irrational panic, spurred on by the stupid notion of shutting down the economy because of a virus. The unemployment was a result of the same stupidity. Trump stood almost alone in his insistence we open back up quickly. Everyone knew this was correct, but the Left, including lame asses like Romney and Cheney were determined to ruin Trump’s term. The shut down was the tool to do that. As we finally started to emerge from the idiocy, Trump’s policies brought the economy roaring back. He was on the same trajectory post Covid as he was pre-Covid. And then the puppet was elected. The good times ended immediately. Conclusion: Kaine pretends not to understand economics.
Kaine blamed Covid for the inflation in the puppet era. This was a lie, of course. In both upturns we experienced under Trump, as hard as the LEFT tried to ruin both, we had increased productivity and economic growth. That’s how you grow with almost no inflation. Under the Puppet Regime, the money pissed away on green scams in all three of his spending packages ($ trillions) we had no value exchanged for the spending. THAT is where the inflation was born.
Price gouging: On this Kaine was slimy slick. Up until last week, the cackling hyena and Joe Duh had spoke of price gouging causing inflation. At no time did our pathetic media ask either of them to name who was gouging, because no one was (outside of airports and interstate plazas). Not a word of those lies had to do with any single event, until Kaine, the silly poof, exploited the disaster by lying about the meaning of Kammy’s gouging lies. Lying about someone else’s lies by lying. The modern Left has no sense of irony or dignity.
Kaine provided more immigration lies. This has been constant since the Reagan Amnesty. But to be specific, he spoke of the dogshit border bill the way the rest of the Left speaks of it - dishonestly. To see what the bill would have meant, check the 2:35 mark of this piece. All that garbage bill would have done was increased the size of the welcome wagon. It was intended to allow a minimum 1.4 millions unvetted, possibly diseased, often criminal foreigners to come in every year.
In short, Kaine spent the night lying his poofy ass off. And it wold be fair to say I spent all my time on Kaine and not Cao. That is because what you can say about Cao, across the board, is that he was a bit nervous, but level and honest. And he was right about why military recruitment is so pathetic. Normal kids don’t want to serve under a dude in a dress. The trans fad in the military is one genie we have to stuff back in the bottle; one bell we must unring.

Kaine’s responses during the debate should clue you in to a major failing in our modern day politics. Senators and too many people aspiring to BE senators think they are ruynning for national office. They run on broad national issues. But while they will be serving in the toilet bowl we call Washington DC, a senator does not hold national office. He holds a state office - HIS state’s office. Your citizenship in your state should be more important to you than that of the United States. Outside of foreign affairs, national defense and interstate trade, you shouldn’t give a damn about national issues when voting for you reps and senators. What is good for YOUR state? Those are the issues that should be up for discussion in a congressional election. Most national issues are emotional. State issues are much more practical and important.
